Name: Onimaru Miki
Age: 20
Fandom: Ramen Fighter Miki
Appearance: Miki is a short (5' 3") and athletically built young japanese woman. She has long brown hair that hangs almost over her eyes which she keeps seperated into two tails in back with a bandanna.
History: Wiki Page
Miki is the only child of Single Mother and Noodle/Chinese restaurant Owner Onimaru Makiku. Unable to completely deal with her energetic and easily distracted daughter, Makiku would resort to violence in an attempt to keep the young Miki in line. In school, Miki was completely disinterested in her lessons, having more interest in bullying older boys, often to the point of causing severe psychological damage to them later in their life. Her lax attitude in school gained her some enemies amongst the students who thought her presence was an insult to those who were trying their best in their studies. This would especially become an issue when, at the age of 20, Miki began to work at her mother's restaurant as a server and delivery person, as one such enemy, Kannazuki Megumi, ran the bakery across the street.
Jealous of the success of the Onimaru's restaurant, Megumi would attempt to discredit in Miki as a good employee by challenging her to various battles and competitions. However, since the near clockwork conflict between Megumi and Miki plus the constant corrective violence dished out to Miki from her mother was the driving force behind the restaurant's popularity, there was little she could do to stop people from visiting the restaurant.
Canon Point: End of the series.
Personality: Miki loves a challenge, especially ones that involves kicking someone in the face, as that is something she is especially adept at. Whenever she sees the chance to solve a problem, she will usually attempt to create some sort of competition to sort it out. Whenever she see a physical challenge that needs completed, Miki is always willing to lend a hand or just butt in and take over if the hand isn't exactly appreciated by those she helps.
When she is in competition mode, Miki is able to maintain a veneer of complete seriousness at the challenge at hand-- no matter how absurd. Often times, when she spots an opening or has somehow found an upper hand again her competitor, she will smile like a demon, letting her aura of confidence radiate out in order to dishearten her opponent. Miki will always put her full ability into a challenge, even if her opponent may not be up to the same level as her, which can often lead to broken bones and unacceptable casualties. However if the challenge involves something that Miki is not particularly skilled in, such as being graceful, a proper lady, or anything where she can't just win via some sort of application of brute athletic skill, she will easily reach the end of her short patience and become visibly frustrated. Miki will always persevere to the end, attempting to finish as fairly as possible, waiting for a later date to exact an appropriate revenge.
Miki is always willing to help those who seem to be in need and appear to be helpless, such as children. Usually she finds herself most helpful when attempting to avoid completing some other less important task, like work, since usually there is something there that she finds much less boring. Other ways she sates her short attention span and complete disinterest in her responsibilities is to find local thugs to terrorize, beating delinquents straight, forcing people so settle their differences via a silly competition, chasing dragonflies, or just attempting to bully her enemies for a laugh.
When dealing with her enemies, Miki is rarely the first to resort to violence. Miki always waits to find a solid justification (in her own mind, that is – once Miki labels someone as an enemy, most everything they do that inconveniences her becomes solid justification) before whipping out the vicious blows and righteous kicks. If for some reason she cannot find justification, she will attempt to goad her enemies to give her justification via a cunning plan. Unfortunately, Miki is not the best architect of cunning plans and usually finds the tables easily turned as her plans backfire like an old Ford. There are some occasions where will Miki will resort to violence first, usually if her short temper is triggered by a slight to her (which also includes praises to her enemies) or someone attempting to annoy her.
There are times and tasks where Miki is able to competently and gladly perform as asked. In these times, she comes across as a happy, energetic, and perfectly sociable young woman who is occasionally driven to episodes of clumsiness as her high spirits get the best of her. She becomes her most prim and proper, however, when under the influence of alcohol. Once she crosses over the tipsy barrier, she morphs from her violent, aggressive self into a proper, respectful, and polite-to-the-point-of-servile lady.
Game Specific
Suitability: Miki loves fighting, and while her somewhat overdramatic and loud approach to fighting may not be the best assasin material, it is incredibly flashy and entertaining, a fact which often drew customers to her family's restaurant to watch her daily brawls with the neighbors.
Weapon: A Mochi hammer made out of aluminum. This in it'self isn't the greatest weapon, acting similar to a very unweildy aluminum bat. Its strenght lies in the button on the side that, when pressed, increased the weight of the hammer head a thousand times. The smart way to use this would be during a downswing, to take advantage of the wieght and not just have it drop useless to the ground to early, possibly breaking Miki's arms in the process. The Downside is that, for 30 seconds after activation, the wieght effect is reversed and the entire thing becomes as light, stable, and easy to swing as a pool noodle. After that the weapon takes about 30 more seconds before it can be used again.
Samples
Log/Third Person Sample: Miki never really grew up in all that well-off (or even finacially stable) family, so the dreary conditions of the strange hotel where she woke up wasn't really what was worrying her at the moment. It would take her a few moments to notice the new conditions around her anyway, as she groggily made her way by memory to where she exepected there to bee a door to the hallway, only to be rudely told that this isn't so by a table forcefully correcting her with a strongly worded message to her gut.
While picking up the pieces of the table she had recently thrown the motel room's wall, Miki noticed the letter that had been sitting on the table sticking out of the pile of debris. After taking a few minutes to read the special message it contained, she looked around to see the package they were talking about. Walking up to the tall long package, she slolwy opened one end and pulled out the long, wooden mochi hammer, somewhat confused as to why she was being given this specifically. After giving it a few swings, and shouting a few lines from Star Rangers (Hell's Bunny of course, since this was her weapon of choice) she noticed the button on the side and, since thinking was not really one of Miki's strong points, pressed it. Caught by suprise, Miki tumble over as the now multi-ton hammer fell over, smashing into the floor and through the cieling below. Frantically she pulled at the hammer, only to go flying back when its wieght dropped to under a pound. Stumbling into the door, Miki begain to panic a little as the manager came storming up the stair, screaming about what was going on and promising a special brand of hell for whoever what in the room this time. Quickly, she gathered the weapon, letter, and envelope full of money, threw open the window, and jumped down to the street one story below.
Miki strolled down the street, hammer in hand leaning against her shoulder. She had a few moments to think and come to terms with her strange situation. Despite the rocky start, she was ready for this challenge. A chance to prove that she was the best? Especially when she got to prove this by beating other people up? Yeah, this look like this would be a pretty good time.
Journal Entry/First Person Sample:
[The screen turns on to a Young brown haird wooman looking a pit embarassed.]
"Hey, I know that we are supposed to be fighting our way to the top, but it seems that there really isn't anywhere free to live. So, uhm, does anyone know of anywhere I can work? Somewhere that's pretty lenient with their hours. It doesn't need to be long term, since once I'm at the top of the rankings I won't need it.
I'm the best delivery girl there is, so a pizza place or a noodle shop would be perfect!"
